Ethan.

Ethan's lion face.
He built the train all by himself!

paint samples. help me choose a colour?

leaning towards Ellie May Rose.

How cute is the name?!

Babysitted Ethan on Friday night. and gosh! I don't think I've ever been so tired! He's 3 and an absolute cutie! Took him to the playground near my house, we watched Charlotte's Web (which is his favourite movie), painted for hours, played with lego and just had a blast.

I am now an owner of a GORGEOUS Calvin Klein little black dress. It's so Audrey Hepburn-ish. and it is such a timeless classic, I just HAD to have it.

I had lunch with mummy and daddy today after church at this new Japanese noodle place in Sunnybank Plaza. It's outside next to the bakery. There was nothing but noodles and soup!!! I don't get it. I think I'm eating too much..

Gelato nails.

I'm going to see my favourite guy in an hour! yayy. Ethan came over last night and we had lot'sa fun drawing and painting rockets and crocodiles. (After a long day of work and me spilling my moisteriser tub AND foundation. good one jewel)

I just came back from spending the day with mummy and daddy. I'm planning to have a feature wall in my bedroom. Maybe a watermelon/coral or a dusty pink would be nice? :D So we went to Bunnings for paint samples.

I also bought two black skirts. and nail polish! Never was one to get into painting my nails, I have suddenly been obsessed with Summer colours and pretty pastels. Here are a few of my favourites;

I hardly ever paint my nails and if I do, it's normally pastel pink or nude. sometimes red. But this Channel Jade green is so yummy! The colour of pistachio gelato.

Jade: The runway colour for fall 2009.

Light as Air - China Glaze
My favourite colour ever! I have a lighter version of this. How sweet is it?

Loving coral/watermelon colours.

I just wrote a post on nailpolish :/ Ethan's here :D Pictures up later?

Peeved.

I actually had a good day today. Had work in the morning, then I went into the city to meet up with some friends and I got roped into watching HP7. Never been a fan of Harry Potter, but Wafia (and everyone else) seems to suddenly have Harry Potter fever. So I'm reading the books (actually reading, and not Wikepidia - ing), and they aren't too bad. Slightly peeved off at the moment though.

CHRISTMAS WISH LIST!

  • The Scripts album.
  • Fuji Instax camera
  • Bow Earrings (because I've lost mine)
  • Polaroid film (I saw some on Ebay for a reaaaaally good price actually)
  • Ralp Lauren Hot perfume.
  • A small SLR camera bag!
  • A capo for my guitar.
  • Maroon 5 tickets! :D
That's it :P

I decided to treat myself to macaroons today :D I had coconut and pistachio. The Lavender flavoured one looked so pretty (laveder/lilac is my favourite colour), but I'm not game enough to try it.

Controversy

So a week ago I posted  a Tumblr post about Nirrimi. Nirrimi is a 17 year old Brisbanite, and my favourite photographer ever. I've been following her work for years! A week ago I was half watching the news, half doing laundry when the Diesal shoot Nirrimi has been working on came on. I squeeeleed and squeeled. After realising the segment wasn't about how talented she was (in fact they didn't mention her name at all!), but it was about how the Law School thought the photos were a disgrace I decided to do a lil more research. This is what I concluded.

This is all a publicity stunt.

Come on! really?! Brooklyn Law School MUST have known what Diesal photoshoots are like? They're no worse than girls in a James Bond flick. But that's not even the point!! Its NOT about the photos! (obviously the photos are amazing) But Brooklyn Law School got paid, therefore they must accept the consequences? no? If not do a lil research and don't rent it out? Plus they're getting free publicity anyways. While Nirrimi is not mentioned at all. I say good on her.

On the other hand, went to a Marleise's (Shaun's lil sister) baptism yesterday. Saw everyone. and I mean everyone! So proud of Marleise and her decision for Christ. Went bowling tonight with Mitz, Byron, James, Keats, and Robert. Working tomorrow. Now it's time for bed!

Pink.

I have quite a fair bit to write, that I don't know where to start! Backtracking a little..

Wednesday: Went to the city to drop off my Campbell Biology textbook (lets us all rejoice that I will never have to do that subject, ever again!). Met up with Divya to go shopping. I didn't actually know a lot her (besides that she is way way more asian than I am) til Wed. She told me about her extended "family", which was thoroughly fascinating for me, maybe because I'm an only child and I've always wanted siblings. It also reminded me or my own extended family.

Thursday: Wafia picked me up, ridiculously early for some reason :P Gave her my rushed, edited photos. Went to Stones Corner to pick up our pageant tickets. The boutiques there are ahmazing. Cute dresses to die for! She shouted me lunch :) went shopping for a bit. Then I worked and was taught how to open AND close. Not only are Christmas Casuals not allowed to open and close, they are also not allowed to be left alone. which I was :P

Playing around with edits. However I don't quite like this.

For some reason blogger isn't letting me upload anymore :( This was a event called "Chicks in Pink" and it was to raise up funds and awareness for cancer. A deadly disease that hits home for W and I.

crisp.

I have an insane headache :(
I think it's the amount of sun I got today. It was so warm today! as much as I love summer days, I like winter better. yes I really did say that.

I spent the day shopping (or window, because I'm broke) with the lovely Divya.

I'm trying to edit pictures quickly at the moment for Wafia. I really like how they turned out. I know it's the 'in' thing for soft looking, dreamy pictures. But sometimes I just love sharp black and whites.

Got in trouble because the boys came to the house at 1am. I miss them :( a lot.. and if my parent's weren't so crazy, I think I would have stayed out and talked/jammed for hours. *sigh*

more pictures of the whole event and pretty models will come soon.

My head is KILLING me. bedtime my dears.

Ace Kimpton.

Andrew Samuel Kimpton also known as to me as: Ace, Ace Ventura, Kimpton.

I logged into Bebo (the facebook for kiddies) for the first time in a year and a bit, and "found" him everywhere on my page! Quotes, memories, sayings we made up, photos. Ace is a very important person in my life. He has been, and always will be. One of my first best friends and still is. He has taught me a lot (sometimes not intentionally). One of the very few people who just understands me and pushes me to do the right thing. We have a friendship that is just ...whats the word... mature? We get that we both have our own lives and that we're both busy, however we're still there for each other. We both have made a lot of mistakes and ended up on the (kinda) right road. Had a major catch up on Fri night, had dinner. Didn't even make it to Max Brenner because we had so much to talk about..

seriously sunburnt. but you can't tell.

brisbane river.

bromance yo!

click to see my pretty shoes!

so attractive :P

love of tattoos

I don't think he realises how much of an impact he has on me. He also probably won't remember being there for me in the wee hours of the morning when my world was falling apart, and I had no one to turn to but him. It was the first time I cried in front of anyone and was literally feeling lost. He was just there, and it was comforting to know I had someone I could go to for that. He has also told me never to settle, because I deserve nothing but the best. While everyone was handing me pamphlets about how I was going to church on the wrong day, he had the guts to talk about it to me.
but most importantly, together we are trying to be who we want to be, and not who people want to see.
