Love lost.

Sometimes in your darkness, you just need someone to empathise. To hold your hand. To provide a shoulder to lean on..to listen to you.

Last night, my night was filled with nostalgic memories of a gorgeous boy who had his precious life taken too soon. It was comforting to learn about his lil secrets, his habits, to talk ALOUD about special moments and memories.

I cope with difficult situations in a sort of different way.. I shut out. I try and forget it. and I definitely won't talk about it. Real friends, people who really care, will take the time and effort to gently push you to talk, because they know it's the only way to let go of feelings.Last night brought so much closure to me, and meant so much to me. I am never ever going to express openly to those few people how much the night actually meant to me.

Which brings me to another point. So often we judge too quickly... we tend to form outrageous opinions of a person in our head and somehow mix that up with reality. When really, we need to realise the fragility of life. Don't form judgements, there's always a reason behind close doors why a person might be that way. Always take time to listen and talk to people, there is no such thing as being to busy to listen. I don't mean fickle stuff about makeup and boys (even though that is important), but we all need a good venting once in a while. (mind you, I'm not saying I'm perfect and I haven't been guilty of instantly forming opinions about a person)

Out of everything, I think that's what he taught me the most. Never once did he judge a person or say nasty things. That's just how life is suppose to be..It's sad that it takes such a life altering event, a gorgeous soul lost, for people to realise how short life is. But better late than never..

ANYWAYS! to brighten things up.. happy photos from my trip?

Long time no see!

I've been suuuupeeeerrr busy with uni. I don't know if I told you guys, but after a lot of heartache, sleepless nights, advice.. I decided to transfer unis. I am now at UQ :)

It's so much more work than last year (I know right?! you must be thinking. Is that even possible?!) .. but because I'm motivated and driven I'm actually studying more? so all in all, it's going well :) besides the lack of sleep. so in the last couple of weeks or so, this is what I've been up to!

studying NON STOP, for anatomy! Yes that is a real hand.

cold rock with L. bubblegum and maltesers :/ who even get's bubblegum ice-cream?! and who mixes lollies with chocolate?! a lil kid :P that's who.
went op shopping yesterday with these cool kiddies (& tegen) . They're so hip, it hurts :P

guys seem to always find cooler stuff in op shops, however L convinced me to buy this dress. it's a size 6! amazing or what? and I fit into it! yayy.

Just chilling with maltesers and a GG book ;)

Holding Hands.

from CHUCK,
Holding hands may seem like an innocent gesture, but they show more than a simple interlocking of fingers. Your hands are one of the most essential parts of your body: you build with them, feed with them, hold with them, touch with them, fight with them; they are the tools of the human body. To take a hold of another’s hand is to break from living individually. It is to link yourself to another being, to momentarily entwine your life with another’s, to promise, for a moment, that you need not face the world alone. More simple, more aesthetically naive than other forms of affection, i.e kissing, hugging, sexing.., the act of holding hands is often trivialized in its true implications. As the Beatles once said” all I want to do is hold your hand .

.

God is my protection, my perfect is imperfection
I'm trying to do me, without making a dance

without taking commands from all the fakes and demands
we all have our values, love is motivation
trust is what it makes it, believe and you'll create it.

Inspiration.

So I'm back at uni! ( a new uni, since I've transferred) and pumped for this year.

I'm getting into my music once again. Mucking about with the piano. I found an old book full of lyrics so I'm piecing it together with melody. and hopefully I can get one of my talented friends to sing it.

I miss photography. Truly miss it. I went through a phase where I was neither motivated or inspired. I now have a million ideas running through my head. I am totally inspired!

Even though I have sooo much uni work going on, I manage to sew a skirt yesterday. Shall show you guys soon-ish.

oh oh.. and and weird thing. I have missed Hillsong! I've been floating around churches for the last month, due to my travelling. While it's cool to attend the church mum and dad got married in etc, I feel like I'm home. oh and apparently I missed Bear Grylls at church! :O

I promise.. photos will be coming soon..

BLAB

whoah. I haven't signed into Blogger for a long long time..
Today, I got a haircut. I asked for 3 inches off.. but got 8 inches off instead. typical. that ALWAYS happens. I started freaking out a lil.. Then Dad kinda just gave me this "I have not raised you up to be this superficial" kinda look, so I just shrugged it out. I went to the Night Markets with my 2 cousin sisters :)
Came home.. played Monopoly with my 2nd family.
Currently pigging on on Hershey kisses because I'm craving chocolate.

I miss home. I miss Australia.. but strangely not as much as I did the last time I was here. Being here has made me realise what a amazing family I have. Biological and none biological. It was only when I moved to Australia that I really bonded with my Dad's side of the family. I've realised this trip back what big hearted people they are. I'm so blessed and thankful to have them. I've also come to realised all the pressure and stress that I go through with uni and parents, my cousins go through the EXACT thing. It's just so nice to rant to someone and know we'll be there for each other.

gosh i need to sleep.. my eyes are drooping.

annnnnnnnddd i can't upload pics from my desktop. wtheck :/  sorry.. you're gonna have to wait for pretty photos. however.. heres today's dose of prettyness

how lovely are these?! I reaaaaaaallyy want the first dress. all images from tumblr. original source is unknown.

Vintage Bags!

My mummy dearest is the best! She bestowed upon me today, three of the cutest lil bags ever! They're more than 20 years old but she has kept them in such good condition. I'm just loving them. Funny how this style is back "in" at the moment.

All beautifully handcrafted.
guess the skin...

Long gone and moved on.

Boy is it hot today! It's starting to feel like Summerrr! wooh!

I'm waiting patiently for my daddy, as we have to do legal stuff. So i decided to muck around with the webcam and show you my favourite item in my wadrobe right now. :D

the crotch of my denim shorts looks weird :/

My Ladakh (pronounced as La-dark) Sweetheart Ditzy top. I didn't quite get time to shop during boxing day sales because of work and other commitments. But I did buy this top for about $20 cheaper than the retail price from Universal. You really can't see the detail here, but it's the cutest floral print with black and silver vintage looking buttons!

Perfect for Summer.

I think it's time for ice cream :D

Only Child Syndrome.

Today I spent the entire day alone because I was upset.
Something happened at home, so I got dressed haphazardly and caught a bus to garbo.

I literally spent over 4 hours alone because I wasn't happy. and I saw a toooonneee of people I knew, I just chose to not see them.

Shaun just called me saying they were going to Mount G instead of saying yes, I coldly said no and I am now wallowing.

This is a symptom of Only Child Syndrome.

Polaroid lovee.

my polaroid that I saw on a Photojojo website for $250 ish.

Get ready, set..

RANT!

haha. hello my lovelies. I am currently very very bored. I'm supposed to be studying.. but I'm tired. and done with my books.

Whats up with the world? post me a comment about anything?

Got paid today :) Quite happy with myself. I did quite a few hours last week, and opened the shop, by myself. So I'm quite proud of the amount of cash I earned. (we'll just not mentioned that I set off the alarm for 5 minutes and alerted the Westfield security guards :P)

I craving a photoshoot. If all goes well , on Monday, I will be snapping some photos!

I saw this ahhmazing vintage chair, for only $50!!! but I had to rush off.. I'm planning to go back and check it out again. It looks like this but with a different fabric and a little more worn out.

pretty heyy. and it'll match my room!
I want a Leica camera. Sell the Polaroid and buy this instead? I saw my Polaroid on the Photojojo website for $280 :O

I think I've put on weight :/ I have a bunch of dresses that I bought about 3 months ago. Not worn, that I kinda can't quite fit in. Problemo? I think so. I don't exactly know what to do. Sell maybe? Ideas?
I have a vintage dress which is black, velvet and has a low back. H&M lookalike actually.
gah. scalloped edges of this dress is to die for! asos.com

I'm such a retard. haha. I love cocktail rings and just fun, cute ones!
I wore the big one for formal. It's actually really intricate. click for larger view.

Jade green nails! They're so fun to wear! (from Rubi Shoes, about $30 cheaper than the Chanel one :P)
I love birds. It's a lot like my necklace in this post.

Blogging.

  • I wore jeans for the first time last night in yooonks.
  • As much as I disagree with the idea of Casinos, they are actually really pretty. Guess that's how they draw people in.
  • I've decided I want kids. 3 boys, 1 girl. I babysat Ethan again. We watched Nemo, and he made fishy noises AND faces during the entire movie. I think I'd be a good parent.
  • I have this nagging feeling in the back of my head that I just cannot get rid off. I'm snapping at everyone, and I'm having nightmares.
  • When someone tells me they love me or gets too close, I push them away. Sometimes not purposely.
  • The guys were trying to tell me last night,  that to win money (The Wheel) all you have to do is just pick a number and place your bets. Instead, logical me was convince that there was a system. I watched The Wheel (for a long time) carefully, and deduce the relationship between the wheel spinner's (or whatever) arm strength and the amount of bets placed.
  • I like holding hands.
    we heart it.
  • Yesterday was the first day of Summer. But it rained soo heavily, Upper Foodcourt in Garden City flooded.
  • Joseph Vincent is in Adelaide. and not Brisbane :( *sniff*

My head is now empty. and I didn't even have to waste paper in my diary :)

Hillsong Brisbane is having a Christmas Spectacular.. I officially invite every single person who is reading this to come! If you don't have tickets, thats okay, you'll still be let in. Or shoot me a email.
